Dale Kenneth Case

Dale Case Obituary

Dale Kenneth Case Ceresco Dale Kenneth Case, age 50, of Ceresco, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at his home. He was born on January 9, 1959 in Coldwater Michigan to Kenneth Ross and Leona (Bishop) Case. He had lived his entire life in this area and lived at the same address since 1997. Dale married Kelli Jo Heuer on May 18, 1991 at the Church of God in Burlington. He graduated in 1978 from Union City High School. After graduation he went to work at Vincent Paint Shop in Tekonsha, then to Western Rubber Co. in Coldwater. He moved with the company to Fremont IN, retiring after 21 years to take over the family farming. In the spring and fall, he also enjoyed working for AC Moody farms in Union City. In his younger years he loved Canoe racing down the St. Joe River and hanging out with his friends, trapping, hunting and fishing. He played baseball and softball. He loved playing co-ed softball with his wife. He was known for how fast he could run. He also enjoyed golfing. The last couple of years he and his wife really enjoyed bowling on a league in Bronson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, going hunting in Wyoming, Mule Deer hunting, and Bear hunting in Maine. He loved teaching his boys the tricks of the trade. As his boys grew older he got more excited making sure his boys waited for the Big Buck than for himself. He loved teaching his boys to turkey hunt and goose hunt. He coached both his boys Little League ball teams for several years. He made sure he attended all of their sporting events. He spent every week for years at the Calhoun County fair helping his boys with their livestock. He always made sure his neighbors driveways were cleaned during the snowy season. He was known for his generosity, and willing to give anyone a helping hand without hesitation. His wife Kelli, sons Taylor and Kyler were the love of his life, and he, the love of theirs. He loved his family and friends, and was well liked by any one he met. He attended First Wesleyan Church of Battle Creek. He is survived by his loving wife Kelli, and sons Taylor and Kyler at home; parents, Kenneth and Leona Case of Burlington; sisters, Darlene (Doug) Mack, and Deloris (Dave) Wasikowski of Burlington; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Connie Harrington of Burlington; father-in-law, Stephen (Sara) Heuer of Dowagiac; and a very special friend, Jeff Mack of Burlington. Visitation will be at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home in Marshall on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A gathering of family and friend will be held this summer to celebrate the gift of his life. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Union City Baseball Team.
