I feel very blessed, because there are many things that I am thankful for, by knowing Aunt Mary, but there are 2 that really come to mind.

1. No matter what mood I was in upon arriving at her house, I always left feeling happy.
2. Aunt Mary played a major role in my getting to know my extended family. She set and hosted many of our family reunions, which gave me opportunity to know my great aunts and uncles, as well as 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins. Not many people make such a claim. Thanks to her I can.
I will miss her laughter, her smile, and her optimistic outlook on life. She was truly special.
