Robert Martin Obituary

Robert R. Martin Battle Creek Robert R. Martin, 74, died Wednesday June 3, 2009 at home. He was born on December 16, 1934 in Lexington, KY to Lester and Bertha (Majors) Martin. Robert graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. Bob married Margaret M. "Peggy" Narmore on May 20, 1961; she preceded him in death in 2002. He was employed by the Kellogg Company for 39 years retiring in 1999. He is survived by a daughter, Vicki (Larry) Fiandt, of Cloverdale; a son, Richard (Shirley) Marsh, of Hastings; grandchildren, Karla Marsh, Kim Quinlan, Phil Marsh Trina Feller, Gina Petersen, Tony Adams, Ritchie Marsh, and Courtney Marsh; also eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Kay Adams and Carol Alexander. He was preceded in death by a son Philip Marsh and sisters, Joan McDonald and Tootie Rainwater. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club and an avid NY Yankees fan. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am June 9, 2009 with Rev. Larry T. Messer of Battle Creek Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions maybe given to the American Diabetes Association.

I am so sorry about Grandpa Bob. He meant so much to so many people. Karla you meant so much to him and he did a great job raising you. Cherish the memories and remember he will be with you always.
