Diana Mullins Obituary

Diana L. Mullins Battle Creek Diana L. Mullins, 58, died on Friday, June 12, 2009 at home. Diana was born February 3, 1951 in Emmett Township to Ernest and Mary (Lindauer) McGee. She married Ronald Mullins in 1970. He survives. Diana worked for State Farm Insurance Company 38 years, retiring in 2008 due to illness. Diana enjoyed following both her children and grandchildren in sports programs they participated in. She enjoyed reading and scrap booking. Christmas was Diana's favorite time of year. Diana is survived by Ronald Mullins; two daughters both of Battle Creek, Tracey (Mark) Iler and Krista (Robert) Swafford; one son Jeffrey (Tasha) Mullins; seven grandchildren, Bryan, Adam, Todd, Chelsea, Dawson, Alex and Anabelle; five sisters, Joyce (Bill) Drum, Eleanor Fifield, Margaret (Jack) Nelson, Janet (Mike) Mandoka and Judy (Jim) Rocco. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Friends may call at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where the family will be present to received friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2009. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids, American Cancer Society, or Lifespan / Hospice. Diana was not only my coworker, she was my friend. I haven't seen her in many years but I will never forget her.

I know Diana from working at State Farm. When Diana worked in the Accounting department I could always depend on her sound direction and helpfulness. When working in the Learning & Development department, Diana was very professional and created a great learning environment in her training sessions.
