Leonard Gray Obituary

Leonard Gray Battle Creek Leonard Gray, age 70, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Leonard was born December 21, 1938 in Muskegon, MI the son of Perry and LaVetha (Jones) Gray. He married Edith Heacock on May 30, 1958 in Battle Creek and she survives. Leonard retired as a Brick Mason with Local 21 in 1994 after 35 years of service. He recently received his 50 year pin. Leonard enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his wife Edith, Leonard is survived by his children: Randy Gray of Battle Creek, Cynthia (Victor) Owen of Columbia, SC, and Patricia (Steven) Shemelia of Battle Creek; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister: Sharon (Robert) Criffield of Canandaigua, NY. He was preceded in death by his son: Michael Gray; 2 brothers: James and Raymond Gray; and his sister: Sally Gray. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. In lieu flowers, memorials in Leonard's name may be directed to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by the Royal Funeral Home, Battle Creek.
