Dean Badder Obituary

Dean D. Badder Union City Dean D. Badder, age 81, of Union City passed away Thursday June 18, 2009 after a short illness at the Community Health Center of Branch County. He was born March 9, 1928 in Bronson, to Arthur and Iola (Bidwell) Badder. Dean graduated from Bronson High School. He married Helen Littlejohn on September 27, 1947. He retired from Eaton Corporation after 30 years. At age 62 he joined the Great Lakes Merchant Marines He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years and his brother Dave. Dean is survived by 3 children, Alan (Nancy) of Bronson, Tina of Bronson and Sonya (Charlie) of Burlington, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one brother Darl of Elkhart, Indiana. Visitation: Monday June 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Spencer Family Funeral Home, Athens. Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday June 23, 2009 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Trent Hammond officiating. Burial at Sherwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Arrangements by Spencer Family Funeral Home, Athens.
