Diane Cook Obituary

Diane LaRae (Earl) Cook Marshall Diane LaRae (Earl) Cook, age 61, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at her home in the loving care of her family. Mrs. Cook was born on October 28, 1947, in Battle Creek to Otis Archie and Myrtle Jane (Coleman) Earl. She had been a life long resident of this area and was a graduate of Harper Creek High School, class of 1965. On May 28, 1966, she married Chad Allan Cook in Marshall. She had been involved in the Health Care field for many years. She was employed by the Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall as a Pharmacy Tech for 16 years. She had also worked for the Battle Creek Health System and Marshall Manor. Other employment includes the Marshall Pre-School, Chemical Bank, Homestead Savings Bank and Kelly Services. She had also provided Daycare for children at her home. Diane had volunteered in the House Call program, a service of providing care for shut-ins. She also served as a hostess during the Annual Marshall Home Tour. Diane was a consultant for Tupperware Products and Stamp n Up Crafts. She is survived by her husband, Chad; sons, Kyle Cook and Ryan Cook both of Marshall; parents, Otis Earl of Hastings and Myrtle "Jane" Earl of Florida; sisters Donna Musolff of Coldwater and Debbie Hollister of Battle Creek; half sister, Denise Kuker of Battle Creek; half brother, Todd Earl of Battle Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 and Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are to the Oaklawn Hospice or American Cancer Society or Humane Society of South Central Michigan or Alley Cat Angels.
