Betty O'Donnell Obituary

Betty J. O'Donnell Betty J. O'Donnell, 84, of 228 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill, formerly of Battle Creek MI, died on August 20, 2009 at Gnaden Huetten Hospital in Lehighton. She was the wife of the late James O'Donnell. Born in Owensboro KY, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Jewell (Dorn) Boone. She worked for the city of Battle Creek, MI in the Treasurer Office. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Summit Hill. Surviving are 3 sons, Daniel of Battle Creek, MI; John and his wife Mary of Battle Creek, MI; and William Kevin of Summit Hill; 2 daughters, Siobhan O'Gurek and her husband William of Summit Hill and Therese O'Donnell of Lehighton; 1 sister, Rose Bond of Battle Creek, MI; also 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Joseph and James; an infant daughter, Kathleen; 1 brother, Daniel Boone; and 3 sisters, Mary Ann Brewer, Emmy Swanson, and Sally Boone. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 24, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Summit Hill. Calling Hours 12-1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in White Bear, Summit Hill. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church or Woman's Breast Cancer. The Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, Summit Hill is in charge of Arrangements.
