Rachel Jordan Obituary

Rachel C. Jordan Battle Creek Rachel Collins Jordan, 98, of Battle Creek, died August 23, 2009 at Creekside Assisted Living. She was born February 2, 1911, the daughter of Larkin and Randy (Combs) Collins in Letcher County, Kentucky. Rachel moved to Battle Creek in 1927 and began working for Kellogg's in 1928. She retired in 1973. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Jordan in 1975, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Rachel moved to Stuart, Florida in 1976 and lived there for many years before moving back to Battle Creek. She was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Private graveside services will take place at a later date at Bedford Cemetery. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com
