Barbara Barkhuff Obituary

Barbara Jean (Reynolds) Barkhuff Battle Creek Barbara Jean (Reynolds) Barkhuff, age 80, passed away peacefully in Tucson, Pima Co. Arizona on October 12, 2009. She was born on May 6, 1929 in Schoolcraft, MI. She was the daughter of Clyde Phenious and Marguerite Augusta (Miller) Bowersox. Barbara attended Battle Creek Public Schools until she finished the 8th grade. Barbara worked for Weston Biscuit Company, Diana Shop, Nelbros, Mann Filter, Inc. and Adult Foster Care. She married Frank W. Reynolds on November 4, 1950. He preceded her in death November 4, 1975. She married Clinton E. Barkhuff on February 14, 1990 in Angola, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald, Robert, Walter and George Myers. Barbara is survived by her husband, Clinton; daughters, Candace (David) Gunyan of East Leroy and Deborah (Roger) Engler of Vicksburg; 5 granddaughters; 9 great-grandchildren (another one coming in January); and one great-great-grandson; one brother, Douglas Myers of Irons; and two sisters, Ethel (Wayne) Smith and Virginia Hoyt, both of Battle Creek. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 at North Athens Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Savola officiating.
