Elizabeth Stewart Obituary

Elizabeth J. Stewart Elizabeth J. Stewart, 85, formerly of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on November 12, 2009, following a long illness. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on June 28, 1924. Her parents were Clarence and Frances Rosenberger. She was married to Robert Stewart in Battle Creek, Michigan on July 20, 1946. Elizabeth is survived by her children Kathleen, Christine, Stephanie, and Sally Stewart; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Philip (Susan) Rosenberger; and 6 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stewart; her daughter, Mary Misjak; her son, Robert Stewart; her grandson, Matthew Boyle; and her sisters, Ruth and Helen. Elizabeth graduated from the Battle Creek Academy and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Jackson. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse in Jackson and Battle Creek and retired from W. A. Foote Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Wetherby Funeral Home with the Deacon Al Krieger officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens. My sympathy to all of you in the loss of Betty. I worked with Betty many years at Mercy Hospital. She was a fantastic nurse with much compassion. I know she will be sadly missed by many. God be with you during this difficult journey.
