Michael O. Frazer

Michael O. Frazer Battle Creek Michael Onen Frazer, 70, of Battle Creek, died November 12, 2009 at the Oaks at North Pointe. He was born November 14, 1938, the son of David H. and Alice (Onen) Frazer in Battle Creek. Michael graduated from The Choate School in Wallingford, Connecticut and received his Bachelors Degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1964 and entered into private law practice. Michael married Floice J. Ellis on April 5, 1962. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Sarah Frazer (Michael Schneider), Jonathan Frazer (Karen Brunsting), Christopher (Jussara) Frazer and Susan Frazer (Joshua Loerwald); eight grandchildren; and sister, Alice Slaughter of Landrum, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James B. "Barney" Frazer in April 2009. Michael was a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Battle Creek Hunt Club and St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He served on the board of directors for the Battle Creek Art Center, Battle Creek Gas Company, Athelstan Club, Fawn River Duck Club and Semco Energy, Inc. He enjoyed fox hunting, riding horses, farming and was an avid reader. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Shaw Funeral Home. Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with The Rev. Brian Coleman officiating. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery.
