Keith McKeen Obituary

Keith J. McKeen Keith J. McKeen, 84, passed away January 29, 2010. He is survived by his wife Edwina Bennett-McKeen of Winter Garden, FL. He is also survived by his son Keith (Lesley) McKeen of Altamonte Springs, and by his daughters Kathy (Joe) McCoy of Orlando, FL and Carol (Dan) Barrett of Windermere, FL; and stepchildren, Shirley Crooks of Winter Garden, FL and David (Evelyn) Bennett of Lake Mary, FL and by eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Foster and Grace McKeen and brothers Dennis and David McKeen. He was born December 23, 1925 in Battle Creek, MI. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was a Mason and member of the Dennis McKeen American Legion post. He graduated from Western Michigan College in Airplane Mechanics in 1949. He moved to Orlando, FL in 1957 and began his career in the aerospace industry working at Martin Marietta for several years, Bendix Corp in Melbourne, then returned to Martin Marietta to retire. He lived in Hyde Park, Winter Garden, FL until his passing. He was a great man, and was loved by all. There was a room full of family when he passed; his legacy was before him, a testament to a full life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 2p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Plant St., Winter Garden, FL. In lieu of flowers his family would appreciate donations to Hospice of the Comforter, 408 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

Keith,
We are all terrible sorry to here that your dad has passed. I know he had came back into your life and perhaps you were getting to know him a little better. We are all here for you, Les and the kids. I mean this, if there is anything that we can do for you all please let any of the Banks family know. We love you man. Sorry we cannot be there with you all.
