Virginia Hettenhausen Obituary
Virginia Cornelia Hettenhausen, nee Fohne, 75, of Belleville, Ill., born Feb. 29, 1932, in Lebanon, Ill., passed on Friday, May 18, 2007, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Hettenhausen was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Hettenhausen Jr., whom she married July 19, 1951, in Black Jack, Ill., and who died Oct. 12, 1982; two children, Craig and Becky Hettenhausen; her parents, John and Mary, nee Muck, Fohne; a sister, Mary Ellen Fohne; a brother-in-law, Donnie Christ; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Fohne.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Nancy (Marty) Heires of Maryville, Ill., and Michael (Dawn) Hettenhausen, Debbie (Tom) Albrecht, and Jerry Hettenhausen, all of Belleville, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Julie (Paul) Yioutas, Joel Heires, Erin Heires, Rachael Hettenhausen, Rebecca Hettenhausen, Angela Albrecht, Zach Hettenhausen, and Jake Hettenhausen; fourgreat-grandchildren, Alyssa Hettenhausen, Angel Hettenhausen,Hannah Albrecht, and Noah Albrecht; three brothers, Merril Fohne of Lebanon, Ill., and Robert (Stella) Fohne and Clarence (Eileen) Fohne, both of Collinsville, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Ann (Melvin) Seipp of O'Fallon, Ill., Elizabeth Christ of Lebanon, Ill., and Doris (Alfred) Benhoff of O'Fallon, Ill.; a special brother-in-law, Dennis (Bonnie) Hettenhausen of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Poor Clare Monastery, to the American Lung Association, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.

NANCY, MIKE, DEBBIE AND JERRY AND FAMILIES.
I WAS SHOCK TO READ OF GINNYS DEATH,
AS WE JUST TALKED FOR HER BIRTHDAY AND KIDDING ABOUT SHE WAS ONLY 36 ETC. LEAP YEAR BABY, SHE SOUNDED OK AND WE SAID JUST HANGING IN THERE, AS WALT BLIND I HAVE LITTLE TIME TO MYSELF. I HAVE 4 HRS. OFF WED AND FRI.
KIDS ALL 4 TAke COUPLA HRS. EACH DAY, AS LOT OF WORK.PARKINSONS WORSE, BUT HE KEEPS WALKING WITH WALKER.
YOU HAVE OUR PRAYERS SYMPATHY, AND GOD BLESS,
LOVE JINNY AND WALTER SLATTERY
I LIT A CANDLE AND OFFERED MY MASS, COMMUNION, FOR HER, AS IF SHE NEEDED IT, A GOOD PERSON AND FRIEND I THINK OF HER, OFTEN ALL GOOD TIMES WE HAD.

I attended St.John the Baptist Church with Virginia in my younger years. She was a sweet person and friend and I remember her fondly.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family.
I have placed her obituary in the Times-Tribune in Troy (where I work part time) and in the Reports From Blackjack column in the same newspaper, also.

Mike,Rachael& Becky, I am so sorry to read about the passing of your Mother & Grandmother. She was always so sweet to me & to Shera.When my thoughts would take me back in time when Shera & Rachael hung around together,I would always think about Virginia too.I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew her! My mother (Irene Weil French Underwood} and Virginia were good friends years ago, going to dances & double dating.She too is saddened by her passing!
