I have many fond memories of the excellent music programs in the Newton Public Schools chaired by Mr. Remley, which I attended from 1941-1954. While attending Newton High School, which stood where Newton North High School now stands, I sang in the annual Christmas Vespers, which included a Magnificat for women's voices composed by Mr. Remley. I myself retired from teaching music in 2012, and sing, play hand chimes and hand bells in local community ensembles. I wonder if there I way I could get a copy of his lovely Magnificat to share with the choral directors with whom I sing now? My email address is [email protected].

Great Uncle Jim's exuberance for life, music, nature, and family will forever be my memory of such a wonderful man. Perhaps one day, I too will be able to do back flips off a diving board in my late 70's! Thank you for opening my eyes to the beauties of the woods and water in Maine. And finally, thank you for showing the rest of us how to take care of and love one another as you and Aunt Gerry did for 37 years.

My sincere condolences to your family during this sad time. Your dad was a fighter when he was a Pt at MGMC. Your Dad impacted the lives of many and through his hard work will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Again, I'm very sorry about your loss.
