Recently i watched i video on the young boy named elgin-alexander fraser. i was deeply touched and with playing hockey myslef i now use him as a inspiration. i currently reside in Calgary, Alberta and i have found so many people have heard of this story and are as i touched. but unfortunalty not to many people have heard of the rare and undesirable cancer, neuroblastoma. this is where i would like to begin. as a high school student i feel it is important to raise awarnees about this form of cancer and i would like to start fundraising for this cause but i need to communicate with his parents for support. If any one out there can help me i would be greatly in debt this is a seroius cause with a touching story about a young boy.

Hello! Fraser Family,My name is Karla, and the story of your little boy is very sad,I am so sorry for your loss, and my deepest sympathy is sent with Love..I have a story too,I have a Niece named Hailee and when she was 3 she was diagnosed with a rare type of cacner as well, called Retinoblastoma, she had to have her left eye removed, and is now fitted with a prosthetic eye to match her right eye,and for the first year and a half after her surgery, she had to go back to the sick kid's hospital every 3 months to have her bone marrow extracted, and have an MRI done,to make sure the cancer never returned and to also make sure it wouldn't target any other part of her body, just like your child,no child should ever have to go through this..it is not fair.thank you,and our families prayers are among you and your family..Take care.

Hello Fraser family.
My name is Lindsey and I am only 19 years old but your story hit me in an especially hard place because I knew a little girl that died from the same type of cancer that Elgin did. She was almost 2 years old. Losing anyone that young is beyond words, especially when the disease is not fully understood! When I saw Elgin on T.V. I was so touched that he got to have such amazing last days. He touched my heart and my thoughts go out to you and your family! I hope that soon we can get rid of this disease once and for all and that sweet children like Elgin and my cousin can live long and healthy lives. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Victoria & Hamish - The service for Elgin was so very special & moving - what an honour for little Elgin to have Mike Fisher & Chris Philips as pallbearers but even more of an honour when you, his parents, took your turn & escorted him out of the arena. How proud he would be.
Each day & night I have been reading this guest book echoing in my mind the sentiments expressed from all over the world - what a tribute!!
My memoriam card of Elgin, with his smiling face, got taken out of my purse in my bathroom. This a.m., the sun was shining brightly and first thing I saw was Elgin's smiling face basking in the wee bit of sunlight I get in that room - what an inspiration - his card will remain there for some time keeping company with a picture of Curtis on my bathroom mirror.
Rest in Peace little Elgin - love from Curtis' Gramma

Elgin-Alexander has given all of us an example how we should live our lives - to the fullest no matter what our call in life and regardless of whatever obstacles lay in our path, we should stay the course focused on the prize. Thank you for sharing your son and his life with us all. Elgin-Alexander has crossed his personal finish line and fullfilled his purpose and is now in the care of his heavenly Dad. I pray our heavenly Father will bring comfort to you each and every day as only He can. Love...

Dear Hamish and Victoria,
From the family, friends, news articles and at the Service, the one thing that was mentioned over again was that Elgin achieved so much in his 3 years of life that most people may never achieve in their lifetime.
E is for Encouragement
L is for Love
G is for Giving
I is for Inspiration
N is for Need
He has Encouraged and Inspired us all to achieve our own personal goals; he has showed us through his story how easy it is to Give and to Love, and how as a community we Needed this precious gift from God to raise awareness.
Elgin touched so many people in so many different ways that his whole essence signified something very special in our hearts.
