James Casper O'Hara

SANDWICH - James Casper O'Hara, 82, of Sandwich and South Weymouth, died at Harborside Healthcare in Mashpee on Aug. 12, 2007. He was the beloved husband of Ann F. (Marr) O'Hara for 58 years.

Jim served in the Navy on the USS Gustafson during World War II. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus in Scituate; a member of the American Legion Post 79 George R. Bean in South Weymouth; and was a Eucharistic Minister at Christ the King Parish in Mashpee. He loved his family most of all!

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jane Tomasini, and her husband, Angelo, of Sandwich; two sons, James F. O'Hara II and his wife, Michele, of Norwell, and John M. O'Hara and his wife, Mariellen, of Scituate; six grandchildren, Meaghan, Katherine and Grace O'Hara, Evan O'Hara, and Andrew and Brian Tomasini; and several nieces and nephews. He is the son of the late Mary and James F. O'Hara, and brother of the late Dr. John F. O'Hara.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, in Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., at Route 151, Mashpee. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at Christ the King Church, Mashpee Commons, followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
