Barbara Callahan Bean
Ms. Bean, 74, of Charlotte, passed away August 11, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born August 25, 1934, in Surry County, North Carolina, one of six children to the late W. G. Callahan and Lectia Coe Callahan and was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School.
A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2009, from the graveside of Sharon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
Ms. Bean is survived by a son, Ronald L. Morgan of Raleigh, NC; three sisters: Clara C. Gross of Charlotte, NC; Chris C. Garrison of Little River, SC and Elaine C. Jones of Clover, SC; two grandchildren: Shannon Morgan and Ashley Morgan; one great-grandson, Anthony and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by two brothers, Arnold and Elmer Callahan and a grandson, Anthony Morgan.
