Geraldine Headen Obituary

Geraldine Headen
Mrs. Headen, 79, of Charlotte, died August 10, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1930, in Charlotte, the daughter of James and Ola Davis. Mrs. Headen and her husband ran the Shamrock Delicatessen for 26 years. She also loved to fish and play bingo.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Headen was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Joseph Patrick Headen, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Joseph Patrick Headen, III and Jonathan Glenn Headen; one great-grandchild; and 4 brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 14, 2009, at Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hankins and Whittington, 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital P.O. Box 33549 Charlotte, NC 28233.
