I've written a couple of hundred rhymes,
For neighbors, family and friends,
Some clever, some humorous, some funny,
It really all depends.
Today I write one as never before,
With a heavy heart so full of pain,
The passing of a very dear friend,
Sets a mood as cold as autumn rain.
Music always kept is together,
If we could, we'd jam every day,
If you had any doubts about his guitar,
Then you never heard him play.
Steel Guitar Rag, Double Eagle March
And the Folsom Prison Blues
Heated things up, got your feet really stompin'
You could dance right out of your shoes!
There'd be Richie pickin' his guitar
Rockin' the joint like a TV star!
P.T. Barnum never had a guy in his band,
That could pick rock and country
With a six-pack in each hand!
We're really gonna miss his bursts of laughter,
His memory will linger with life ever after.
He was called to heaven, now what can we do?
Maybe God wanted to hear some good pickin', too.
The Stud-N-Aires will never be the same without Richie.

To the Worgull family and Mary:
We are deeply saddened by Richies passing - this is the day music died.
Rich was the greatest guitar player I ever knew and we will forever treasure the jams we had in his basement and at Ted's house. His never ending quick witted sense of humor was one of a kind. His talents of pickin' out a country or rock tune would amaze me! I will always be gratefull for his encouragement in getting me up in front of a mic to sing and told me that I could do it.
I'm glad that I have so many pictures of us and the last few times we were together, making music, on video. They are priceless!
He will be sadly missed by all of us of the 'Stud-n-aires'.

To the entire Worgull Family: Our thoughts are prayers are with you. We'll remember the fun we had with Bill and Carol while watching Richie's band play. May your family and friends help you through this time of loss. What gets us through the days is knowing how many lives our son has touch, so please take comfort in knowing that Richie did as well! Love

Rich, a lifelong friend from MidPark High. Your first vehicle a white '63 Impala SS convertible followed by a 70 hugger orange Camaro. Many fun and fond memories of you, Joey Ringler, and I; especially bowling.

Rich will be missed by us all. He was always cheerful and always when asked how it was going would reply, "beautious baby, beautious". He was a great man to work with.
