You will be so deeply missed Ravi. As a frequent patron of the restaurant it always brought a smile to myself to see you. The day before I left California for grad school I was in the restaurant for my farewell meal and I'm so very thankful I got to see you one last time that day. May you find the peace now that you always extended to those who were privileged enough to have met you.

Ravi, I wish I would have finally gotten around to having you teach me your magic with food, which you so often and enthusiastically offered. You were an absolute joy to know, even if only from the patron/owner distance! You will be missed dearly.

I just heard about Ravi and Params death today. I am just so, so sorry and send my prayers to their family. We are just sick about it. We are/were customers and Ravi made us a friend. They both were such sweet gentle men. We were loyal fans of their wonderful food/restaurant. They were always laughing and such special people. I cannot believe this happened and again we send our sympathies to all their family and friends. Our hearts are with you and we shall never forgot our two friends.

How do we begin to thank you Ravi, for the light you shone upon our little corner of the world? I will always be thankful for your friendship and for the countless memories I have of you & Pammi. You were hilariously funny! I can still hear your voice on the phone, saying: "Anna Bolla! It's Ravi Bolla! Anyway, how are you?"
You spoke often of your mother and your family in India. I send my love to them now. We are all so sorry for your loss.

We will miss Ravi and Pammi so much. To lose such kind and gentle souls (not to mention Ravi's sweet, silly sense of humor) is a painful tragedy. Our hearts are with the Kalsi family.

Ravi and Paramjit, you were our friends and neighbors and we loved visiting with you at your restaurant. When we ate at Sahib, we always felt like we were dining with friends. We will miss chatting with you over the fence as you worked on your house, and we will miss seeing your smiling faces on our walks. This is a terrible loss for the community. You will both be missed deeply.

For our friends and former neighbors Ravi & Pami, we will never forget you:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circles flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what that must be like. I had only met Ravi twice, but it really upsets me to know what happened to him. He was very nice, and someone you can't forget. I hope you: (Ravi and Pami) did not suffer too much. This is all just way too sad, but like everyone said : be strong.

Ravi and Pami were our dear friends and wonderful neighbors for many years in Berkeley. We knew we could always count on a warm greeting and a helping hand from both of them! We are so shocked and saddened by their senseless deaths, and we will miss them terribly. Our hearts go out to their family members. Please know they were well-loved and respected by so many people in the community, and they will be remembered for their warmth and generosity.

Ravi and Parmi were two of the sweetest souls I ever met. And their rice pudding rocked! Their sweet little restaurant was such a gem in Richmond and it is obvious from all the messages how loved they were. Ravi did a beautiful job tiling my kitchen and his soul was clearly older than his years. It is a tragedy and bleak statement about American life. My sympathy goes out to their mom (I know they were very close) and to all their friends, fellow Sikhs, family and Ravi's new fiance. In such a terrible time - it is best to be thankful for the light they shared while here in this life. I wish their souls good speed on their journey.

This is so shocking and saddening. I started eating at Sahib shortly after Ravi and Pami opened. The two brothers were so different: Pami so quiet and serious and Ravi always joking. My heart goes out their family and friends.
