Violett Anna Bolick Thomas Violett Anna Bolick Thomas, 79, of Louisa died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Char-lottesville. Born October 21, 1928, in Albemarle County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew H. Boliek and Ethel Detamore Boliek. She retired as a Lab Tech Supervisor at the Uni-versity of Virginia Medical Center and was a member of the Blue Ridge Shores Baptist Church. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Wallace M. Thomas of Louisa; one daugh-ter, Patricia M. Gulick of Gordonsville, one sister, Jane McKnight; two grandsons, Brian M. Miller of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Craig J. Miller and his wife, Paula, of Phillips-burgh, New Jersey; two great-granddaughters, Ashlyn P. Miller and Addison G. Miller, both of Phillipsburgh, New Jersey; five nieces, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a brother, R.H. Bolick. Special thanks to the caregivers at Hospice of the Piedmont and the Martha Jefferson Infirmary. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 12, 2008, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment to follow at Monticello Memory Gardens in Charlottesville. The Reverend Chet Smith and Pastor Carmon Hartsfield will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
