Dear Kathy,
One month ago today you and my Pat left us here on earth to enter heaven together, October 13, 2008. Tommy and I continue to feel sad and grieve over the passing of you and Pat. We get together for cemetery visits and breakfast at times, plan on walking together at the mall, and will attend a bereavement session November 21 at Lifetime Care. I hope we can begin to rid ourselves of this awful feeling in our stomach since you girls left us. If we could only turn back the calendar to plan and enjoy a camping week together - the Richardsons and the Prestons ....fun! Oh yes, we will do that someday together in heaven. I can only imagine what the campgrounds are like up there. This will be my last guest book signing for you Kathy. Your D&C guest book and Pat's will close tomorrow. Good-bye and please hang out with Pat and direct some happy sunshine down upon us.
Your friend (and Tommy's)

Dear Kathy,
Just wanted to say that your Tommy and I continue to visit and honor you and my Pat since you both left us October 13. Your graves being near each other make it easy for us to visit, pray and talk with you. So far time has not lessened the pain, but Tommy and I will get though this as you and Pat would want us to.

Dearest Kathy,
One week ago today you left your loving Tommy and and my Pat left me. I visit you each time I visit Pat at Parma Union Cemetery and pray.
Tommy and I talk on the phone and are helping each other through this. I was with my Pat to see her first sunrise Saturday morning and it was beautiful, rising directly to the east over your grave site. This past week has been unbelievable for both Tommy and I. Keep a nice place there for he and I and we'll be along side you and Pat someday for eternity. Prayers and hugs,
Gene

Tommy and the entire Richardson clan. My deep sympathy to you folks as we continue to get through these difficult times together. Who ever would have thought that Kathy and Pat would be two rooms apart in the same hospice and pass away on the very same day, October 13? It was somewhat comforting to chat with you at Hildebrandt as life ran out for these two wonderful people who were loved by so many. So now Tommy, you and I are left to go on as our loving wives would have wanted. I can see them welcomed into heaven the other day as bands of angels and all the marching saints showed the way. Hey old buddy, we'll be together again someday, you with your beloved Kathy, and me with my Pat, the love of my life. That's something to look forward to down the lane. Don't forget our chats while visiting our girls at hospice. You and I will get together this winter and toast our loving wives with a "cool one" and say yet more prayers for them. John Auberger and Father Bush called me this morning to talk about Pat. I kept the focus on Kathy as well since you have had to edure this situation so much longer. Tommy Burger just stopped to visit and see how I was doing. I am so glad an old friend like that is involved here at this time. Hang in there you Richardson bunch. Old Greece names such as Richardson and Preston will survive and go on.Your good friend and old fire department pal,Gene Preston

Dear Mike,
I'm very sorry for your loss my friend. I didn't know Kathy but knew of her long struggle through what you've shared with me as she fought through this. Her struggle is now over and she's not hurting anymore. She's attained what we know is our eternal hope and glory. I pray you take comfort in the knowledge that you'll see her again. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mikey.

Dear Jenny and the Richardson Family,
I am very sorry to hear about your mom. My family goes to St. Lawrence and I saw her there w/your father and brother a couple of weeks ago. Seeing them brought back memories of the good times we shared in grammer school.

To all the Richardson Family:
Please know how sorry I am for your loss. I remember Kathy well, her enthusiasm, her talent, and above all, her love for all of you.
She was a frequent visitor and helper in my Kindergarten classroom at St John's, or was she just checking up on you!!!
I still have some of the treasures Kathy made for me - ceramics, and a special door hanger. Its pieces have broken, but I kept them because of the love that went into the creation.
God bless and comfort each of you and be with you as you listen to all the stories of Kathy's life. She and your memories will live forever in your hearts.
With prayers and love,
Sister Mary Anne Laurer
