Margaret Griffith Obituary

Griffith, Margaret Joanne
Hilton: "Mom" Griffith left this scene of life at the age of 72, being the perfect example of a good Christian mother and sister in Christ. Those who knew her were blessed to have known her, and to have been in her company. She was a faithful member of the Ogden Baptist Church in Spencerport and will be deeply missed by all of us.
She was the daughter of William and Margaret Brown. She married Allen Lee Griffith Sr. on June 6, 1953, married only 37 years when he died on September 24, 1990. Into this union were born: Dianne Anderson of Hilton, NY, Allen Griffith, Jr. of Dannemora, NY, and Randy Griffith of Olatha, KS. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She worked at Sibleys, which changed to Kaufmanns for 24 years, to provide for herself at the passing of her husband. She lived in Rochester and Brighton, then she moved to Hilton to live with her daughter and husband due to her illness. But first and foremost was her love for the Lord and going to church was the number one priority with her.
Friends may call TUES. 4-7 at the funeral home of HENRY D. HALLORAN SON, INC., 5781 West Henrietta Rd. where her service will be held WED. 1 PM. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flower, contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurse Service, Hospice.

Peg,
I remember when Ginny and Chris were making wedding plans and Ginny and me came over to your house to go to the park where they were to be married, I think if I'm not mistaken you even picked the place out. Ginny was so excited for many reasons, one because she was getting married and two because she was honored to have you participate in her wedding plans.

May you rest in peace and know that you are loved, adored, and will be missed by many.

My Gram-I love you very much! I am grateful that I got to spend three weeks with you this summer. We got to play one last card game and as always...you won!! I will never forget all the fun and laughter we shared. Those memories will live on forever! I will always remember you having me make the mashpotatoes year after year for thanksgiving...yeah they started out a little lumpy but each year they were that much better (my family thanks you for that too!!). Black Jelly Beans will always be ours Gram!!
You are greatly missed but I know you're by Grandpa's side now watching over us...xoxox
