We will have memorial service for Shirley Dennision on Nov. 17th at 10 am, in Morganton, NC.
Shirley loved life. She loved animals. She loved reading, and encouraged young children to read. She enjoyed making crafts and giving them away. Rarely ask for help. She was like "grandmother/aunt" to my children for many years.

My deepest condolences to the family. Shirley will be missed by those who are fortunate to have known her. Her sense of humor and infectious laughter will always be remembered. Before she moved to NC, she gave me a rocking chair and a table. I still have them and will always remember her generosity.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I knew Shirley during my time at RSD as a teenager. She had special way that lighten up students. Her love of work with the deaf children. I never forget her spend some quality times with me, her guidances, supportives that enriched in my learning life. One thing that inspired me still to this day, one day I walked into her mom's house and have seen the rows of books. Shirley's love to read books. Thank you Shirley for your kindess, guidance and love you have shown me and others you touched. I will never forget you and will meet you one day again.
