Rick and I just learned of the passing of Julie. We were so sorry. She was a beautiful women and we enjoyed our friendship that we had with Julie and Bob. We lived on Logan Ave. years ago when we were both first married and enjoyed many good times together. We have lived in Las Vegas for 20 years and have lost touch of many people. But we wanted to send you our love. Rick and Julie Magness

Dear Crawford family,
Our sincere condolences at the loss of your beautiful Julie. I was her visiting teacher for awhile and it was always a pleasure to come and visit with her. She was an amazing and wonderful person and always made us feel welcome. Christina is living in Burbank, CA now and sends her love and prayers to Bea and your family. We recently suffered the loss of my mother and so my emotions were too fragile to attend another funeral right now. Keep busy and keep the memories fresh in your mind. You know where she is and this is what will bring peace. Our love to all of you,

Dear Bob,
We are saddened to learn of Julie's passing, and sorry for the grief through which you will pass at her loss. We have fond memories of the dinners that you and Julie hosted when we were young marrieds in Sugarhouse. We had a lot of fun.
I wrote in my journal on 12 May 1986: "Jessica [age two and a-half], in her personal prayer last night, included thanking Heavenly Father for being able to go outside, [and] to go to a birthday party (held for Robbie Crawford)."
We ask the Lord to bless you with an abundance of His comforting Spirit in the weeks and months ahead.
Best wishes,
Landon Simpson

Aunt Isabell, Uncle Bill, Bob, Jim and Sally and Julie's Bob and family
May the Lord Bless you all and lift you up at this time. Julie is my special friend, who was like my sister. Even though our lives have taken us apart for the last 30 years, our hearts have always be close. She always made me laugh and her amazing ability to always look good was good for me. She was always trying to do something with my long hair to make it look better, paint my nails, and put makeup on. I loved it. I remember all the late night talks as we weren't tired enough to go to sleep. I was taken into your home as if I was one of you and I alway felt welcome. I will never forget those summers in Waterton. I love you all and hope to connect sometime for a hug for Julie as we will all miss her so. I read the words to Hymn # 129 today and it has helped some. Love you all.

Bob and children:
I remember Julie so fondly as we both took piano lessons from Jerry Powell many years ago. I remember we played in an 8-hand piano group for a big stake music night. Jules was so fun. I remember what a fun and delightful person she was. We went shopping, waterskiing, and would have get togethers with the "old gang" of Bryan ward. Julie was a beautiful person inside and I hope when you hear beautiful music, you will think of her. I know her family was the most important thing to her. Know that we are thinking of you at this time. Sir Walter Scott said it best. " Death--the last sleep? No, it is the final awakening."

Bob and family,
Words cannot express how saddened and surprised we were to learn of Julie’s untimely passing. We will greatly miss her gift with music, her sense of style, her wry wit, and her beautiful smile. Julie and your family helped make our years on Logan Avenue as friends and neighbors with young families a very special time. We fondly remember evenings with the Gourmet Club, the incredible décor and spirit Julie brought to the Christmas season, and the remarkable love and concern Julie had for the Primary children she served. And who can forget the fabulous ward Christmas party Julie orchestrated, followed the next day by her surprising and delighting the ward’s children (and the stake president) with popcorn from a theatre-style popcorn machine in the Primary room. We grieve with you and your family for the tremendous loss you have suffered. We pray that you will be sustained and comforted by the Lord and the healing power of the Savior.
With much love,
Dee Dee Davis

Dear Jensens and Crawfords:
Julie was a good friend of my older sisters, and a cousin to my brother-in-law. I will always remember how very kind she was to me as a young girl, and how she always took time to talk to me. At a very young age, I recognized her big heart, and liked her very much. I was so saddened to hear of her passing, and pray that you will be comforted during these difficult times.
Sincerely,

Dear Jensen and Crawford Family,
I am so sad to hear of Julie's passing. We were High School friends and lived in the same ward for a number of years. I remember her smile, laugh and beauty. She was always someone I looked up to and aspired to be like. I will always remember the opportunity I had to travel with the Jensen family to Canada. Julie and I giggled and had many heart to heart talks during our teen years. Those memories will always be close to my heart. Thank you Julie for allowing me to be a small part of your life. My sincerest sympathy goes out to all of you. May God bless and comfort you at this difficult time.

It has been a great privilege for me to call Julie, My Friend.
Julie and I became friends through Little League Football. Her husband, Bob, coached both her son, Nick, and my son, Alec, for a total of four seasons. The first beginning six years ago. At the season end banquet, Julie approached me and pointed out that we had a friend in common. We had an instant connection. We were kindred spirits. I remember feeling special that someone I admired so, would reach out to me in friendship.
I have likened Julie to Jackie Kennedy with her regal appearance and dress, presidential-like parties and gatherings and her beautifully decorated home.
When the rest of the parents were dressed in jeans, sweats, and t-shirts, at the football games, Julie stood out. Her hair was always classically swept back in a sleek ponytail or chignon and she had a beautiful skirt or dress on with her makeup done flawlessly. She looked more like a NFL team owners’ wife than a Little League Football coaches’ wife.
Due to Julie’s appearance, you would expect her personality to be the same; dignified, reserved, and quiet. However, her dry, quick sense of humor always caught you off guard. We shared so many laughs together.
Julie and I shared love for the same type of music. I always told her we were born twenty years too soon.
One of the first times that Julie and I spent time together, we were driving in her car. As we were driving, suddenly I saw a yellow vehicle and shouted out “Bingo”! I was so embarrassed and humiliated! Julie busted up laughing and said “Oh, you guys play that game too?” Before I knew it, it had become a very fierce competition to see which of us could get the most “Bingo’s” before our day together was over.
No gift or occasion was ordinary for Julie…it was always an “event”. Christmas is such a busy and stressful time for most of us. We are all just struggling to get everything done in time, not Julie. Christmas was the time for her Annual Christmas Eve Gala Dinner Event. Everything was orchestrated beautifully; the food, the decorations, and as usual, Julie always looked gorgeous!
I am known by my friends as a minimalist. Julie is quite the opposite. Her Christmas decorating rivals Temple Square and the Christmas Windows at Z.C.M.I.
The year before last, Julie called me and asked me to come help her decorate for Christmas. She claimed she wanted to see how I would do it. Well, when I arrived, the beautiful, flocked Christmas tree was standing in the entry and next to it was a box of ornaments. To my surprise, Julie announced that she was going to make her trademark “Crunch” candy (I think it should be called “Nirvana”) while I decorated the tree.
I am not the most organized person, but I am regimented. My Christmas ornaments are in a compartmentalized box, with all of the same type of ornaments stored together. When one style of ornaments are placed and balanced on the tree, I put on the next style of ornaments. Well, this large box of overflowing ornaments about “short-circuited” my brain. I didn’t know where to begin! I pulled all of the ornaments out of the box and organized them on the floor before I could start this lofty endeavor.
Julie and I continued our jobs with our favorite music blaring and giggling back and forth. Every once in a while, she would walk into the room to see how I was doing, grab any ornament and without a thought, place it perfectly on the tree. She had such a flair for decorating.
One of Julie’s favorite activities for us, was to stop at Phillips 66 for a cup of crushed ice and sit on the sofa to watch a video.
Julie was so generous. She would literally give you the shoes off her feet. I became afraid of complimenting her dress or home décor because if you did, before you knew it, it would be yours.
One time at her house, I noticed some artwork I loved and expressed that to her. My birthday was in a short while and what do you think was included in my abundance of gifts? It was the picture.
The same thing happened with a gorgeous skirt. She went above and beyond to find one for me.
On one of her visits to my house to pick up Nick, she had these adorable beaded flip-flops on. I made a comment on how much I liked them. She took them off and handed them to me. She wouldn’t take “no” for an answer and she left my house barefoot.
Gift exchanges for birthday’s or Christmas were not just a simple gift to recognize the event, but a series of carefully planned and coordinated gifts. The wrapping and packaging were also masterpieces and works of art. She made you feel like royalty.
Our boys became close friends and spent a lot of time together. Her house was the house of choice to “hang out” at and she was always more than happy to have them stay for a sleepover.
She was a willing football “Team Mom” and the end of season banquets and State Football Championship party were anything but ordinary.
Julie loved her husband and family more than anything. She longed to spend time with them and be a good mother and wife.
I never heard Julie say a harsh word about Bob…ever! She was always so grateful for the wonderful life he had given her and her children and for the honorable man that he is.
Julie and Rob had such a special and close relationship. You could see the love they had for each other whenever you were near them.
Planning and presenting Bea and Fernando’s wedding was a “Labor of Love”. It was so important for her that Bea have a wonderful day and memories. Spending time with Julie putting together Bea’s wedding floral arrangements is a most treasured moment for me.
Julie loved attending Nick’s sporting events and was his “Greatest Fan”.
Several months before the birth of her new grandson, whenever I would visit, Julie would say, “Oh, you have to see this new outfit I picked up for the baby”. She would come back into the room with baskets over-flowing with clothes, books and toys. She was so excited to welcome this little bundle of joy into the family and spoiling him rotten.
Julie loved her children and was so proud of them and their accomplishments. There was nothing more important to her than for them to be happy. I know she will be with them, watching over them and influencing their lives forever.
One thing Julie always said was, “You never know what is going to happen. You should always let the people you care about know how much you love them”. Whenever you parted ways or hung up the phone, her last words to you were; “Luv ya”.
Julie always made me a part of the important events in her life. She always made me feel special and loved. Julie loved her friends intensely.
I’ve been thinking about Julie a lot the last couple of weeks, but was busy and never got around to giving her a call or dropping by. I deeply regret not following that prompting now.
She was a loving, giving, kind, beautiful and cherished friend. I love and miss her so much!
Julie, My Dear Friend, until we meet again….LUV YA’!

Dear Bob and Family:
We are deeply saddened by Julie's untimely passing and know that she will be missed so much. She was so gracious and unselfish in sharing her eye for beauty and good taste with others. As we reflect on her passing, we know that heaven is indeed be a more beautiful place with her there. Hamer III admired and appreciated her great style and refined taste so much so that they left together so she could decorate heaven for him as they continue to share their special bond together. As we've been in Hamer's home and fondly remembered Julie and Hamer, we know that she touched his life with her beauty and spirit. We look forward to the day when we can all be together again.

Dear Brother and Sister Jensen and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Julie’s passing. Our two families shared many special experiences in the wonderful Murray 23rd Ward back in the 70’s. I remember how Bishop’s Cook and Carr and Fotheringham cared so much for the youth in our ward. Julie and I and all of the youth at that time were surrounded by remarkable examples and mentors. I love the both of you and pray the Lord’s blessings upon you and your family and upon Bob and their children.
Much love,
Troy Carpenter

Dear Jensen Family ... The Reeve Family have lived next door to Willard and Isabelle Jensen for over 25 years. We dearly love this outstanding family. They are such kind and caring people. We look to them as powerful examples of a Christ-like family. I can't believe Julie is not with us any more. She was so vibrant and full of life. We have also got to know Mike and Sally and their dear family (especially daughter Julie Roberts and her daughter Victoria Evans) in our ward. They are of the same cut of gracious and loving people.
