Dear Siobhan, Thanks for letting me in your life. I'll miss all the time we talked about things other than CF. Thanks for making a unit aide feel special. May God use your life and your light to help others cope with CF. Shine on friend.

It's 1am on the 5th July 2008 and I have just watched Siobhan on a video hoping she would get a lung transplant, and it has saddened me deeply to hear such a wonderful person has lost her life to something that we still don't understand. My sympathies go to all her family, I wish I could say or give you the one thing that would make all the pain go away but I cant because I know all you want is your baby back.
A person is never gone until they are forgotten and I know you will never forget her smiling face.
My thoughts are with you.

So sorry for your loss. God got another angel. Our dear friends lost their 12 year old angel to CF on June 13th so we know the struggles of CF and we know that Siobhan battled for every day she had and took it in stride. We saw the video she was in for CF on the CFhusband blog. She was so candid and I KNOW that her life and death is not for loss, she will continue to reach people to educate them about CF until a cure is found through the video. We'll be praying for you as you lay her to rest. Lean on Christ as He's the only thing I've ever seen get a family through a time like this. Let Him be your strength, comfort and refuge. Remember her smiles, her love and her laughter and when you want to cry, try to smile as well because she's no longer suffering. God bless you as you face this new reality of life without her. You'll be in prayers around the world because of the blog.

I still can't believe that you're gone. I am so proud of the accomplishments you have made and the struggles you have overcome. Your smile and your silly laugh will be missed. You are forever in my heart. Love you Siobhan!

We had the fortune of meeting Siobhan at USC during one of our CF inpatient stays. She was a truly courageous girl, always upbeat and encouraging. She had an impact on everyone from patients to respiratory techs to the nursing staff. They all had so much praise for this young lady. We are blessed to have known her. Peace to Siobhan and her family.

I just watched the video (http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/) and it truly saddens me to hear about Siobhan's passing. I am passing her message on and praying that a cure will be found. Her life has already touched so many, and it will continue to do so.

I was in the hospital visiting the day her downward spiral began and I had no idea where it was headed because Siobhan was looking so good and had the same upbeat attitude she always had.
She accomplished a lot in her short lifetime and touched a lot of people despite her disability. She was strong and made the best of her life. I learned a lot about CF and life from Siobhan and I'm proud to be her Uncle. The struggles I saw her deal with every day of her life made me appreciate my own even more and gave me a much greater compassion for her and those that struggle with the disease.
Many thanks to the Hickey Family for taking her in, doing all you did for her and helping to shape her into the beautiful young woman she turned out to be.
I will miss my visits with her at the USC Medical Center and all those late night phone calls.

My heart goes out to the Hickeys and the Ryans. Siobhan was such an amazing, warm, smart, funny, beautiful person--I feel so fortunate to call her my friend. Siobhan struggled with her CF but she didn't let it define her--she lived life to the fullest. I was so in awe of her determination to graduate college, despite her medical challenges. Others would have given up. She loved to laugh, and dance, and scrapbook, and travel. She loved being close with others and adored her family and friends. In 26 years, she touched the hearts of so many. She will have a place in my heart forever...

I also saw Siobhan on the video. She was a beautiful young woman, and my heart aches for you all as you grieve for her. It should be a reminder to us all not to take life or our health for granted. May God be with you all, and I will be praying for you as you face the coming days.

My condolences to Siobhan's family and friends. She had a beautiful spirit and it was a privilege to know her. It was an honor to be able to take care of her at Children's Hospital for so many years. She enriched my life in so many ways.

I too saw her on the CF video today. Such a beautiful girl! I'm so sad for you all. It's never fair when a life is ended so young. I hope that her message and the others with CF get out so that more funding and assistance can be provided. May God be with you all in your time of saddness.

My condolences go out to the Hickey family, Siobhan's choosen family and to her mom, Maureen, may you all recieve special graces and consolations for all the years you have given in loving and caring for Siobhan. Siobhan was such a great person she loved her family and many friends. She lived life better than most and it was much too short. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

I saw Siobhan on a CF video today. I wanted so much for her to get to enjoy as normal life as she could and am so sad to hear of her passing. My heart breaks for her family.

I saw a video on this blog (www.cfhusband.blogspot.com) and Siobhan was in it. Her spot was the most powerful, in my opinion. I am very saddened to hear about her death, but she has left quite an impression on the rest of us still here. The blog I posted above is from the husband of a woman with CF and he has had over 5 million hits. I am certain that Siobhan will be heard by thousands of people just today and while most of those who watch the video will not have known her, they will not soon forget her.
