Alfred Frechette Obituary

Alfred O. Frechette of Leominster; 77 Leominster Alfred O. "TiBoy" Frechette, 77, of Leominster, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at home after an illness. He was born in Fitchburg, on May 6, 1931, the son of the late Alfred and the late Nelda (Couture) Frechette and lived in Fitchburg before coming to Leominster many years ago. Mr. Frechette was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Sergeant. He served in CO A 437 Sig Bn. Mr. Frechette was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Leominster. He was employed as a supervisor for over 40 years at the former Weyerhauser Paper Company in Fitchburg. He enjoyed buying and selling cars, golf, going to Old Orchard Beach, playing cards and spending time with his family. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Anita (Lapierre) Frechette; three daughters, Louise A. Membrino and husband Norman of Lunenburg, Deborah A. Thibeault of Fitchburg, Diane L. McBride and husband Thomas of Winchendon; one son, David A Frechette of Fitchburg; seven grandchildren, Michael Membrino of FL, Michelle Girouard of TN, Marci Rasmussen of Fitchburg, Meghan McBride of Winchendon, Matthew McBride of Winchendon, Heather Frechette of Leominster and Eric Frechette of Fitchburg; four great grandchildren, Paul Girouard Jr, Noah Girouard and Jacob Girouard all of TN, Kaeli Rasmussen of Fitchburg; one brother, Robert Frechette of Leominster; and many nieces and nephews. A sister Lucille Sonack of Lunenburg predeceased him. The family would like to thank the DVNA Hospice for all their help and kindness they shared. FRECHETTE A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 10:00am in the St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St, Leominster. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. No calling are hours scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to VNA Care and Hospice, 120 Thomas St, Worcester, MA 01608.
