I am still in shock over the news of Devon's death. Devon and I met when we were both 2 years old. We went camping together, had slumber parties together, went to school together and played soccer together. She was my favorite childhood friend. It breaks my heart to know that such a beautiful and wonderful person like Devon is gone. I will miss her dearly and will think about all the fun times we had growing up.

Devon Markert was a wonderful woman, accomplished, kind and open to all of life's wonders. She will be missed by all of us who knew her. I had the honor of knowing her for her entire life and performing her wedding ceremony in my home. Her spirit will be with us always.

Devon was a childhood friend of mine from Cole Elementary. She was such a great friend, and she was such a sweetheart. My prayers are with her family, and close friends.

Noureddin, We are so sorry for your loss. Devon was truly a remarkable woman! Hold on to all of the memories as they will help you through the grief.
I often wished we lived closer so we could have spent more time with you both. The two times we did get to come and spend time with you both were so special to us and we will never forget them. I will always remember and treasure the look on Devon's face when you remembered the words I taught you for your wedding..."With this ring, I thee wed". Please call if you need anything. We love you!!

Devon was a truly remarkable young woman, valiant in every sense of the word. She has, by her example, shown me how to live and how to die. I am honored to have known such a fine person.
