Lew touched many lives. He is such a great example of selfless service. I was touched by the retiring of colors at the funeral. God bless America, and God bless those who serve their country. Thank you, Lew, for your life and service. My condolences to the family.

Well, today I had to do the hardest thing I ever had to do. I had to bury my hero! Dad, for all that you have done for me and my children, I want to thank you! I beleive that my children turned out the way they did because of you and your influence in their lives! Look at them now, Dad! You were such a support to me and to them! It's going to be hard, Dad, not hearing your voice everyday, but I know you are watching over all of us and that gives me peace. I know everything will be OK! You are always and forever in my heart! I Love You!

Dad,
We never always seen eye to eye, but just know that I love you very much! Time passes and the thing we wished we had said got left unspoken but I know that you know in your heart that I do love you and will miss you! I am only going to ask one thing from you "That you always keep one eye on us and help us all through this time! All of us love you and I know you know that!Give all of our loved ones with you a kiss from all of us, and one day we will all be together again! Your loving daughter and family! Lu Ann

I wish to express my condolences to Lew's family on his passing. I enjoyed my visits with him over the past several years as he managed the Acorn apartments. He had a way of reading people and seeing the good in them. He was a real blessing to many folks who were down and out and lifting them up. He took great joy and satisfaction in helping others. He will certainly be missed.

GRANDPA:
Since I was a little child,
In all that I've been through;
You've always been my hero,
No one stood as tall as you.
You were the one who took the time,
To teach what I needed to learn;
The lessons in life you shared with me,
You shared with love and concern.
I loved you as a little child,
And now that I am grown;
I share those lessons you taught me;
With children of my own.
Generation to generation,
I'll pass on your legacy;
I'll tell of my loving Grandfather,
And all that you mean to me.

GRAMPS:
Im glad you were out here with us and that I got to see you and
spned as much time with you as i did, fred really love you and your kisses!

Dad,
I never thought it would be this hard to see you go and prepare for your funeral. I want you to know how much I love you and miss you. I know we have not always seen eye to eye but I know that you loved me and I know you knew I loved you. We had our times when we were really close, and I hold dear to those times. Even though you sometimes had this mean, ornery exterior, I knew deep down you were a softy at heart. I will miss you and hope that your reunion has been everything that you ever wanted...I will look forward to seeing you again. I love you Dad and will never forget you!!! Fly with the Angels!!!!!
