Dear Family - I did not know Tom Fry but his father Dr. Fred X Fry was the person responsible for bringing me into this world at Communty Hospital in 1964. My sympathy to all.

Dear Tommy; For the class of '54 of Junipero Memorial High School I am sending consolences to your bereaved ones. I reached out to Tommy on the fiftieth year of our graduation. With a long distance phone call, the years disappeared. Tom was the Student Body President and I was the Secretary. Each year a grade was added to Junipero so that we were the "leaders" for four years. As a result, the thirty five of us, who came from all over the Peninsula, had our hands in starting most of the clubs and traditions of Junipero. My classmates will smile when I remind them that all of the girls, wallflowers, unpopular, unescorted, would have at least one dance at the school proms. Tommy made sure to ask all of the girls. He made sure everyone would feel loved, no one left out. That was Tommy. We are not surprised at his spiritual journey that now has come to an end. Tommy, we will miss you, rest in peace, classmate, good and faithful servant. fHS, Gail Maitre Tyler . .

Dear Bereaved; I reached out to Tommy in 2004 on the fiftieth year of our graduation from Junipero. We were in the first graduating class. A grade was added on each year so that we were the "leaders" for four years. Tommy was the Student Body President and I was the Secretary. We wrote the School's Constitution. I know this had an impact on all of us. Although going our separate ways, in doing research, have discovered all thirty plus of us went on to do meaningful work in Our Lord's Vineyard. What I remember of Tommy in high school was that he made it a point to dance with every girl, wallflower, unpopular girl, at the proms. He wanted everyone to feel loved, not left out. That was Tommy. And now, rest in peace, dear friend and classmate, O good and faithful servent, I will miss you. fHS, Gail

Larry and Family!

I am so sorry for your loss. The first time I met Tom was at his ordination at St. Mary's Cathedral - the old one on Van Ness. My mother, Bernice Trimble Hopkins, and I went together - i was 18 at the time. I would love to communicate with you - our Omas, great grandmothers were sisters - my Anna and yours Elizabeth. Father Richard and I were semi-close - he got me through high school teen angst. Please contact me - [email protected]. When Richard passed I asked Kelly to contact me but he hasn't yet. I'm sorry Tom is gone - he was a real character. Love you cousin, Jude Hopkins Marcus.
