Ann Sanchez Obituary

Ann M. Sanchez Oct. 31, 1949 Oct. 27, 2010 Resident of San Lorenzo Ann M. Sanchez passed away on Thursday, after a long struggle with cancer. She touched many lives with her generous and humorous spirit and positive outlook on life. Ann was born in Oakland, CA, graduated from St. Elizabeth High School. Ann enjoyed a 40 year career with Bank of America in San Francisco. She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, crossword puzzles, oil painting, paper arts and other crafts. Ann is survived by her sister Mary Vasquez of Grass Valley, her brother Joseph V. Velarde (Leonor) of Richmond, CA, nieces and nephews; Christine & Francisco Ortiz of San Lorenzo, Roseanna of Santa Rosa, Lisa & Sal Nunez of San Lorenzo and Jose Velarde & Leyda of Richmond, CA. Great nieces and nephews; Virginia, Ariella, Mia, Alyssa, Francisco Jr., Anthony, Danny, Arturo, Junior, Lorenzo, Jose, Valentino and Nicholas. Her generous loving and humorous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday November 4, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm at Sorensen Chapel, 1140 B Street, Hayward, CA. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday November 5, 2010 at 10:30am at Church of the Assumption, 1100 Fulton Street, San Leandro, CA.
