My parents were friends of George & Mary K and I remember as a little girl, Mary K cutting my hair. I also got my love of Antiques and Hobnail Milk Glass from her. She was such a loving person. Rest In Peace Mary K.

Mary will be missed by many, many friends in addition to her family. My kids still talk about Christmas Eve at Nan’s and the annual singing of Must be Santa. Love and prayers to the family.

My husband and I had the joy of talking with Mary and her longtime friend Ruth several years at our school reunion. Both ladies shared their memories of their years at the home and cosmetology. They both were lovely ladies and we truly enjoyed talking with them over the years.
We are so sorry to hear of your family's loss of such a lovely woman. I'm going to miss seeing her at our future reunions but will carry a message she gave me always. Mary told me to always be proud of who and where you came from, and pass on the joy to all you meet with a smile on your face. RIP Mary until we meet again my friend.

She is one of the many ladies that were in the home with my mother Charlotte Bumgardner Elam. Mary K was a wonderful lady and I loved to see all of them a reunion reminiscing about their days in the home. These group of Ladies where known as the Golden Girls at reunions. We have lost so many in the past few years of this group. I am sure they are having a reunion of their own. I will miss her dearly.

I remember Mary well, as a volunteer at Miami Valley Hospital. Always a smile and kind words.

Mary Kay was the perfect person to cut little girls' hair! She was fun and made the daunting process easier for me as one of those little girls! She also was my Mom's stylist and they had such fun together. I'm so glad that she had a long, joy-filled life! Peace to all of you.
