FRANCIS, David Michael

David Michael Francis, age 83, born December 8, 1937, died peacefully of complications from strokes at Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community on

January 9, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents,

Lester Francis (Chemical

Engineer and Director of Advertising for Emery Industries) and Dr. Marie Heintz Francis

(Physician, Planned Parenthood) of Cincinnati. He graduated from Westwood Elementary School, Western Hills High School (Swim Team) and Northwestern University (B.A. in

Economics, Captain of the Swim Team and a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity). Mr. Francis owned and managed Gough Lamb Cleaners in Middletown from 1961 to 2020. He was very civic-minded, as was evident in his Lifetime Achievement Award from Middletown Rotary Club, membership of the Safety Council of Southwestern Ohio, the Jaycees and of the First Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid fan of

Middletown High School. Dave is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Judi Francis; 4 cousins, Joel Dawson, Susan Grier, Janice Currie and Maryan Hahn; 3 nieces; 2 great-nieces; and 2 great-nephews. Funeral Service will be held

Friday, January 15, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Woodside Cemetery Chapel, 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown, with Reverend

Michael Isaacs officiating. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Middletown Rotary Club, P.O.
