Age 71, a native of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. Calling hours 10 am-12 pm Friday, July 9, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Family will receive friends 11 am-12 pm. Private Memorial Service.

I worked with Ellis for many years with the City of Dayton, Parks and Recreation. Ellis was one of my first pool managers and help mentor me during my younger years as a lifeguard. He was a joy to work with and always explained how to do things when he saw you making a mistake. He was a good friend and will be sorely missed.
