I´m so sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Hochwalt. It´s been over a year, but I just heard the news today. Dr. John was the best Dr. I´d ever gone to. I went to him for over 20 years and many of my family members had gone to Dr. Hochwalt over the years. After having my son in 1987, I took him there for his very first baby check up and Phyllis was the nurse at the time, she administered the necessary baby shots and I still can recall her bringing in the baby scales to weigh my son. I knew from that visit I wasn´t going to take my son to any other Dr. as they were very attentive to taking care of a baby as well as older patients. I´ve missed not having Dr. Hochwalt as my Dr. since he´d retired. Dr´s just aren´t like Dr. Hochwalt was. I always had faith in what he was telling me and I never second guessed anything. If he was uncertain about anything, he´d see to it that he´d refer you to a specialist to be checked further. Today´s medical profession has changed so much. Sincere condolences to the Hochwalt family and I´m so sorry I hadn´t heard of Dr. Hochwalt´s passing sooner.

For 40 years our medical care was provided by Dr. Hochwalt and by his father before him. On two occasions, Dr. H made house calls to our home! He was a brilliant diagnostician. Dr. H coached our son's little league baseball team. His children attended high school with our children. He was a wonderful human being, and we are so fortunate to have known him professionally and socially. Rest in Peace.

Oh, my goodness! How our family, including my parents, Jack & Jane Focke loved Dr. John for his dedication and superb medical ability. When he would appear on the scene of any medical need, it was always meant with a sigh of relief from our family. We knew everything would be O.K., no matter the outcome. He was a true gem of a Doctor, and no one can come close to his ability and dedication! Our sincere sympathy to all his family!
