William SMITH Obituary

SMITH, William E. "Bill"

Age 93 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Bill was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on April 2, 1928, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Baber) Smith. Bill proudly served his country in WW II by enlisting in the U.S. Army.

During his time in the service, he met the love of his life, Annemarie Speck. After his time in the service, he continued to serve his community as a police officer in Oxford. Later, he went to work for Beckett Paper as the Director of Security for many years. Bill and Annemarie were a staple at the German Festivals for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially at Gina's Italian Restaurant. Bill will be remembered for his sweet tooth and personality to match. Bill will be

dearly missed by his children, Michael (Marian) Smith, Stephen (Lisa) Smith, Andrea Smith, Theresa (Paul) Brewer, Matthew Smith, Patricia (Manuel) Embry, and Mark (Sheila) Smith; his grandchildren, Michele, Kelly, Annemarie, Shawn, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Jennifer, Jeremy, Lauren, and Tyler; his 18 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Annemarie (Speck) Smith; his parents; and his siblings; Tom, Gene, Melba, and Betty. Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH. www.browndawsonflick.com.

So sad for the loss of my wonderful Uncle Bill. We have so many happy memories of him and the visits that we shared with him during Easter visits. Miss you Uncle Bill.
