Sara VICE Obituary
Age 66 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 31st. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Roy Vice, and her brother, Greg Pearsaul. A visitation will be held from 12-2PM Monday, February 7 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 111 W. Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402 at 10:30AM Tuesday, February 8. For full obituary, please visit

Those of us in the Oregon neighborhood are privileged to have in our lives. She did so much to make our neighborhood a wonderful place to be. Sara wrote our Oregon Historic District Society newsletter, helped with the gardening in our park, opened her and Roy's home for two holiday tours, researched and wrote a short-term rental policy proposal for the City's consideration and became a close and dear friend of so many of us. She was talented in so many ways, but most of all, it was her grace and kindness that shone the brightest. When she passed on Monday, a dear neighbor gathered a group of us to toast Sara with a glass of bubbly. She loved champagne and Proseco and our neighbor knew Sara would have wanted us to gather in the joy of her friendship. Another group of Oregon friends scattered far and wide in Hilton Head, Florida, Mexico and here in the Dayton area gathered by Zoom for another toast this past Saturday. Sara taught us all how to love life, cherish friends, and bestow kindness to all. Her grace, beauty and light will be with us always. Thank you Sara for being our friend and neighbor.
