Aunt Bonnie now has the heavens singing and dancing... I'm sure of it!
she was AMAZING! a woman of integrity, so humbled and needed not to be praised for her achievements, and there were many! She expressed her greatest love and only wanted to share the most important thing in her life... her family.
She was spirited and fierce, and beautiful...I loved everything about her.
She was a savior to many, including her nieces and nephews. She was my saving grace growing up, she never let any of us down... she was our heaven on earth.
SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL
There was nothing better than going to Aunt Bonnie´s. Unaware of how little she had, she was willing to give it all. She always made the best of things and worked hard for every one of us. I´ll never forget her winks and her smile that made you always feel that special connection, like we had our own secret language that only her and I understood. A connection many of us had shared with her.
AND HER HUGS...her hugs <3 ...every moment you would walk through her front door
...and she always made sure there was a never shortage of food when you arrived. If something was missing, she´d have Uncle Barney on a mission! And when we had to go back to our daily life, she sent us away with love in our hearts.
She ALWAYS made us feel loved.
The summers were the best growing up because we knew we were going to get to see her.
In the mornings, for some crazy reason, I couldn´t wait to get up to help her do the chores. She made life so great that you just wanted to do anything you could for her.
Each morning she´d send us out to pick berries, just so she could make us our own pies, something we always looked forward to. After collecting the berries, we would quietly put them in the basement while she was working and ran off to the pool for the day. She was the best!
As a young adult I´d grown to appreciate her even more. I´d never realized the pains and struggles in her lifetime until then. She never projected them onto us kids.
She truly loved each one of us, including my own children. She was the biggest influence in my life and made me better. Because of her, I was truly blessed. SHE WAS and always will be HOME.
I love you Aunt Bonnie, thank you for a lifetime of wonderful.
Love,
forever your 6th daughter, Deidre
