Jovetta Lynn Wysong (née Smith), age 63, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1962, and lived a life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, and selfless love.
Jovetta was the heart of her family-a true caretaker and provider who put the needs of others before her own. She was a no-nonsense woman with a giving soul, always doing whatever she could to help others and always wanting people to be happy. Her kindness reached far beyond her home, touching a small village of people throughout her lifetime.
She found her greatest joy in her family, especially in watching her son, Tanner, grow up and play baseball. She deeply cherished her husband, Timothy Wysong, and loved both her own family and her husband's family as her own. Jovetta had a special love for the holidays and decorating, taking pride in making each season feel warm, welcoming, and full of meaning. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, often creating thoughtful handmade items for the people she loved.
Jovetta is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Wysong; her son, Tanner Wysong; her future daughter-in-law, Jenna; her sister, Christa Sword; and her nephews, Chris and Bill Sword. She leaves behind countless family members and friends whose lives were better for having known her.
She will be deeply missed by so many. Jovetta impacted a small village worth of people in her lifetime, and her love and guidance will live on through them. We hope she is resting easy and looking upon us with pride. This is our last gift to her.
