I knew Jerry when he was a teenager hanging out with his buddies one of which was my son Henry. They all loved music. Jerry played the harmonica and Henry played the guitar. They really enjoyed their friends and growing up in that small town. Many years passed and Jerry was back in our lives. He still had his quirky way, his long hair.his beard and still loved music and hippies. He found a place in my heart. I admired his tenacity to keep going even though he had a stroke. He got discouraged but he never gave up. He found his way into our families hearts. He was a blessing in our lives. He is missed.

I met Jerry when I just turned 18 and just moved to Ohio with Henry. Jerry had walked up to us with this big back pack carrier and as he turned I could see a baby, his son Dallas , I was so impressed that everytime I saw him he had his boy with him, being a singel dad. I'm so glad I got to tell him this recently that I was proud to see him taking care of his son as he did. We had some good laughs together the past few years. Jerry had a real green thumb with the plants and a good baker as he would bring many good treats to our family get together. I'm happy Jerry got to spend his past few years with his good buddy Henry and we all got to hang out together. We will miss him.

Jerry forever transformed this yard into the "Jear Bear garden for Butterflies"

I thought of Jerry today as I sat in my dads back yard and thought of how beautiful he made the yard and how impressive it was, with him not having the use of his left arm and leg, he was able make such a drastic change in this yard. I then saw two yellow butterflies playing in the plants that he planted for butterfly´s and how he must have enjoyed watching them flutter about. I miss you Jear Bear! I´m keeping your plants and flowers watered my friend!
