Donald E. Paugh, 86, of Duluth Minnesota, passed away on December 31st, 2024.

He was born in Ohio, on October 25th, 1938, the son of the late Ivan and Esther Paugh. Donald moved to Minnesota and had met the love of his life, Haldis Royseth. They met at the original Sammy's pizza in Duluth in 1962. They married in July 1964 and together they raised 2 children. He was in the U.S. Army and later worked for Ohio Bell and U.S. West.

Donald was a remarkable man full of kindness, compassion and love for his family and friends. He was always active, whether it was in the community playing pool, going to local sports games to cheer on his favorite players, or on his land out in the woods, cutting trees and making trails; he was quite the outdoorsman. He was involved in various sports throughout his life, including basketball, softball, horseshoe, bowling, and pool. Donald was fun loving, funny, humble, and made everyone smile wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Haldis; their children, Dawn (Rick), and Scott (Laura), and granddaughters, Vanessa Kohl and Makala Paugh. Donald was preceded in death by his brothers; Goerge, Robert, Richard, and Sherman of Ohio. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Hall and Marjorie Paugh of Ohio.
