Judy Shumway Obituary
Age 81 passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 in Dayton, Ohio. Judy was born on April 30, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to Maynard and Martha Leaming.
Judy graduated from St. Joe's High School in 1961. She went on to work as a Telephone Operator at Ohio Bell for 35 years.
Judy was compassionate, fun loving and a beautiful soul. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Larry of 46+ years. She loved Elvis Presley, playing cards with friends & family, horse races, Words with Friends, Cream Soda, Reese's Cups & dining at all the best places. She loved her family and friends and she loved going to church. She earned a lifetime achievement award at "The Boat"
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Maynard & Martha Marie Leaming and by her first Grandson, Brenden Mark Morelock.
Judy is survived by her husband, Larry Allen Shumway, including her only Sister, Sue Jiles, her only child, Cheryl (Cherie) Miller (Terry) of Miamisburg, Ohio.
Larry Shumway Jr (Kim) of Florida and Kelly Shumway of Florida. Judy is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Austin Morelock (Rachel) of Dayton, Ohio, Collin Miller (Linda) of Winchester, CA and Ashley Miller of Dayton, Ohio. Brianne Shumway of Florida, Kenzie Fuller and Nathan Fuller of Florida. Judy has 2 great grandchildren, Aaron Miller & Addison Miller of Winchester, CA. She is also survived by her niece, Kimberly Radominski (Tom) of Vandalia, Ohio and her nephew, Alex Silva (Terri) of Columbus, Ohio as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
The visitation 1:00 to 2:00 Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery St. Henry's Chapel, 1625 Calvary Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45409, with the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S.
