A great friend. He would always call me on Wednesday in the middle of winter to play golf. We would brave freezing cold to get another round in even if it was snowing. May he rest in peace.

Walter was a wondeful cousin and a smart and caring physician. He really took his time to make sure that all of your concerns were addressed. Both Walt and Patty never seemed stressed which amazed me considering that they had seven children and a lifestyle that was nonstop. My favorite memory is when they rode their bikes, along with their seven children, from Kettering to our home on Little Sugarcreek Road in Bellbrook for our annual Foreman/Keyes family reunion. He will be missed.

Walt, Ed Sachs, Gary Woodall and I (Tom Russell) sat together for lunch at Chaminade H S for 2 and1/2 years during which we became lifelong friends. Walt often astonished us with his latest poem, idea, project, travel or adventure. Indeed, Walter was a consummate man. We will miss him greatly.

What a wonderful obituary for my cousin Walter Keyes. His was a life well-lived and well loved. I learned new things about him from this and am so impressed by his many accomplishments. I will also note that he was a good looking man with a warm, friendly personality. Rest in peace. Say hello to all the family up there.

My dearest cousins and family,
Just a brief note to let you know that I am very sad at losing my wonderful cousin, Walt. He was an inspiration to me - so smart, so hard working, and so very kind always. We were good friends, as well as cousins - and even having 12 years between us, we always got along well. My feeling is that he wasn't very happy here anymore, having lost Patty only last fall. I do hope to be there for any services in his memory. May you all continue being blessed, and please know that your loss is surely shared with all your loving cousins. And may Walt and Patty rest in peace together.
