Pedro Ayala Obituary

Pedro Ayala Jr. was called home by the Lord to live in His mansion in heaven on June 30, 2007 at the age of 62. He was born in Donna, Texas on May 19, 1945. He was a well known accordionist who began recording music at the age of 12. Throughout his life he became a very accomplished musician and composer of Spanish music which gained him much popularity in Conjunto circles. He is survived by Marcela M. Ayala, his beloved wife of 41 years; his son, Raymond Ayala; his daughter, Marisol Dupre; and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, Esperanza Ayala, and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road, 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Rd, Helotes, TX. with Rev. Carlos Davalos officiating. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
