Family-Placed Obituary

ANNE WESTMORELAND LEDDY Anne Westmoreland Leddy, age 73, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on April 22, 2008, peacefully, at her home, under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, following a courageous battle against cancer. Anne was born August 17, 1934 in Washington DC to L.E. and Verna Westmoreland. After WWII the family moved to Montross, VA where Anne graduated H.S. and worked part-time in her father's auto dealership. She attended Longwood College in Lynchburg, VA before becoming a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. Anne enjoyed being part of the crew chosen for flights to take the White House Press Corps and Secret Service Agents to various President Eisenhower campaigns and events. Anne was based in NYC where she met her husband to be, Bradley. She also worked in the personnel departments of Arnold Constable and Bloomingdales on Manhasset's Miracle Mile. Anne lived with her family in Little Neck and Great Neck, NY before moving to Stamford, CT and finally to Palm Beach Gardens, FL. While in Great Neck, Anne became President of the GN Doe Club of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 1543. In Stamford she was a member of the Garden Club. Anne with her ready smile, joyous personality and intelligent wit will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Anne is survived by her loving husband, Bradley Leddy; daughter, Sandra Jordan (Peter) of Los Gatos, CA; son, Patrick (Jana) of Great Neck, NY; her loving grandsons, McCauley, Harris, Fitzpatrick, and Griffen Jordan. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Friday, April 25, 2008 with a service at 5:30 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. Inurnment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Hampton, NY at a later date. Memorial Contributions in Anne's name may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or to the Cancer Center at the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, 1210 South Old Dixie Highway, Jupiter, FL 33458.
