Kathleen Scroggin Obituary

Kathleen, 80, passed away October 5, 2008. She was born at home January 4, 1928 in Konawa, OK to John Harlan and Pearl Jane Wilburn. Kathleen married Gaylon Scroggin on July 20, 1946. One precious daughter, Phyllis, was born to this union. Kathleen worked for many years as a library assistant at Putnam City Central (CAPS) School. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her garden and her many friends at Lake Eufaula. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Gaylon daughter, Phyllis Stubblefield and her husband, Earl sister, Aileen Chasteen grandchildren, Shanna Byrd and her husband, Jason, Kelly Stubblefield and Alex Stubblefield and her great grandchildren, Riddick and Trinity Byrd. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 9, 2008, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

I will forever remember Grandma dancing around with Ray Stevens playing in the background, her poppyseed and funfetti cakes, her neon orange and neon pink mugs that she carried around, her striped shirts, blue pants, and white tennies, her clipon earrings, her love of cryptograms and reading, her blue angels, her hand made drapes, and all her old records and eighttracks. you will be missed so very much, I will see you again one day.
