Kate, I always thought of your Mom as my sister, right from the moment she came home from So. County Hospital. I remember the first day she was here that she was crying in her crib alone in Nana's room and I went in and told her, "Don't cry, Cindy, we all love you here." I was so glad to finally have a sister (I was 15 when she arrived). I loved to play with her when she was little, and give her horsey-back rides (something her own father was to old at the time to do) that always ended with me sticking her bare foot in the bathroom sink! I remember climbing 'way up in the big old cherry tree when I was in my twenties to rescue her kite. I was scared of climbing so high, but of course I didn't let her know that. When I managed to get the kite down reasonably intact without killing myself, I was the Hero of the day. :-) Sometimes I was the Wicked Big Brother when I scared her with tales of Martian Invasions and other fantasies of mine.
When she gre up and went to work at the Pede Group, I turned to her for medical advice for some things that weren't serious enough to require a doctor's care. And I will always remember her hospitality- many are the Thanksgiving Dinners, the Christmas brunches or Dinners, and other occasions that I contributed toward our family gatherings at her and Larry's house.
Most of all, I remember that Cindi put her trust in Jesus Christ and his finished sacrifice on the cross, His death, burial, and resurrection to save her from her sins and give her a home in heaven. That's why I know she is with Him now. It may seem hard to us that she was taken from us on Christmas, but she got to see this year for the first time how they celebrate Christmas in Heaven. I just know it's got to be better than Rockefeller Center, the White House, and the LaSallette shrine combined! This is the lady who as a teenager loved the Lord so much that she wanted to be a missionary- and went for a few years to a missionary college.

LT and Family,
You all have been and will remain in our hearts and prayers. LT the love you and Cindi shared was always so evident when we were all together. I know that you all miss her dearly but she is still with you and watching down from heaven to look after you all as she always has. And I am sure she'll be keeping track of Junior too. Our love to all of you and if there is anything you need, know that all you have to do is call.

Larry, Kate, Becky, Sarah,
Our hearts are so heavy with sadness for your loss. Cindy was a wonderful wife and mother and devoted herself to her family. It always brings such joy to see the love and closeness you have all shared over the years. The strength of your love and caring for one another will help guide you through these difficult times. Cindy is in the loving arms of Jesus where we will meet her again. We love you all very much.

Sending my sincere sympathy and heartfelt prayer that the Lord will bring you comfort and remind you of special times of life with Cindy to carry you through your time of grief.
I have very fond memories of times she and I had playing as kids, sharing girlhood dreams and giggles at the Rodman homestead.
May God Bless you all,
Joy
