Wayne Abbs

Commerce Mr. Wayne Edward Abbs, age 47, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Northridge Medical Center. Mr. Abbs was born in Portsmith, VA to William Edward Abbs of Carnesville and Mary Jane Bellant Minesal of Commerce. Mr. Abbs was a United States Army Veteran. He was owner of Wayne Neal Chevrolet. Mr. Abbs was also on the MDAC Board of General Motors, member of the Commerce Kiwanis Club, Blue Knights, and chairman of Relay for Life of Jackson County and honorary chair of Banks County Relay for Life. In addition to his parents, Mr. Abbs is survived by his wife, Heather Abbs of Commerce; daughters, Kimberly Balenger of Carnesville and Madison Abbs of Commerce; sons, Wayne Abbs, Jr. of Germany, Chase Crumley of Commerce and Kyle Abbs of Commerce; and brothers, Robert Abbs of St. Johns, MI and Scott Abbs of Atlanta. Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, December 24 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Williams and Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to an organization of one's choice. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
