Ronald Waters

Waters, Ronald BALLSTON LAKE Ronald Waters of Ballston Lake, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Teresian House in Albany surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Utica, N.Y. on June 7, 1930 and was the son of the late Norman Waters and Genevieve Slowik Waters. Ron graduated from Proctor High School and Mohawk Valley Community College. He was a proud U.S. Navy and U.S Air Force Veteran, who served overseas during the Korean War. Ron was employed by Cigna Insurance Company as divisional claims manager and later by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany as insurance director. Ron is the beloved husband of Joan Erhard Waters of Ballston Lake for the past 60 years. He is the devoted father to Michael J. Waters of Utica and Kathleen M. Williams (Scott C.) of Clifton Park. Ron is the proud "PaPa" to Ashley T. Williams and Rachel M. Williams. Funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:15 a.m. from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, thence to St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park where at 10 a.m. the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ron's memory to Teresian House Nursing Home, 200 Washington Ave Ext., Albany, NY 12203 or to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, 40 N.
